UKIE, the British Games Association, launched the Second Game Growth Plan.

UKIE, the British gaming trade agency, announced the launch of the Second Video Games Growth Project, in conjunction with Telecommunications, the British Department of Commerce and Trade and Executive Partner Player One Consulting, which aims to “help the ambitious studios in Britain to double the expansion of creativity and business”.

The launch of the current programme was officially announced in a press release on 2 September 2025, the first year of which was planned to successfully launch and graduate 27 workshops in 2024. This year, it is planned to provide the studio with two “tailored development paths”: one for the acceleration track “in preparation for the first major growth leap” and the other for the scale track “of mature enterprises with high growth potential and seeking further expansion”.

Mark Maslovitz, Vice-President of Information Cooperation and Investment, said: “We are honoured to support the second campaign of the UKIE Game Growth Plan. The UK has the largest game market in Europe, over Pound7 billion and over half the population. This momentum presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of the industry. By supporting early studios, we will consolidate Britain’s position as a global game development centre.”

According to UKIE, the participating studios will “benefit from expert-led courses, hands-on mentoring and investor interfaces”. The course covered “Key areas of long-term success”, including access to finance, team and operations management, business strategies and international market outreach.

“We are pleased to launch the Second Game Growth Plan to empower a new generation of start-up and scale-up enterprises. Through customized mentoring, expert insights and hands-on support, the plan will help participants to translate innovative ideas and ambitions into the skills, strategies and confidence needed to succeed in the industry and define the future.”
