A multi-year enabling cooperation agreement between EA and the Brazilian Football Association will bring the Brazilian team back to the EA SPOTS FC game

The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) recently announced a new multi-year empowerment and marketing partnership with EA. Through this collaboration, EA SPOTS FC and CBF will provide real and immersive football experiences, including in the games in EA SPOTS FC 26 and EA SPOTS FC Hand-Show, which will further link players with the Brazilian football field and beyond.

The announcement, which was launched during the Cologne game exhibition Latin America in 2026, further highlighted the continued commitment of EA SPORTS FC to the development of football culture and communities in Latin America. Brazil has long been at the heart of the global football culture, and this cooperation reflects the shared vision of creating new opportunities to attract the next generation of fans while celebrating its long history. “Brazil is one of the most enthusiastic and influential football communities in the world, working with the CBF and bringing the Brazilian National Team to the game, and it is indeed a landmark moment for our players and the FC. This will enable us to further deepen our commitment to Brazilian and even global players, and we will continue to work to provide a real retrogression of the game experience of Brazilian football culture, passion and unique talent.” The agreement includes licensing and league marketing schemes to enable EA SPORTS FC and CBF to cooperate in narratives, fan interaction and new experiences.

“Cooperation with EA SPORTS is an important step in reaching out to Brazilian football fans. Together we will create a new history and celebrate with millions of fans around the world our national team, our players and our glorious history.” EA SPORTS FC currently has over 20,000 athletes from 750 clubs and national teams, 120 stadiums and 35 leagues, supported by over 300 global partners. Previously, thanks to the exclusionary agreement between the CBF and Konami, as well as to Brazil’s complex portrait rights laws, the Brazilian National Team had long appeared in the EA game under the name of a general flag or a non-real player. This contract means that players can finally use the full, real Brazil team for official competitions, championships and updates related to the 2026 World Cup.
